As a Per Diem Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform both routine and specialized imaging procedures with precision and professionalism, supporting physicians and care teams in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patients. Working independently, you apply sound clinical judgment and advanced technical skills to ensure safe, accurate, and timely imaging. You build trust and cooperation through compassionate patient care, clear communication, and attentive monitoring. This role adheres to all applicable regulations and policies to maintain patient safety and privacy. Per diem staff may also assist with specialized procedures and help orient new team members as needed.Job Description:
EDUCATION:
Other: Successful completion of an educational program in Nuclear Medicine accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology or the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) OR Successful completion of an educational program in Radiography accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology provided prior to start date
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
RHN-Radiologic Health Nuclear Medicine (required if working in California) provided prior to start date
NMT- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist provided prior to start date
OR ARRT(N)-Nuclear Medicine Technology provided prior to start date
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
General knowledge of diagnostic nuclear medicine principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
Capable of performing routine nuclear medicine examinations as well as a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS).
Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).
Build collaborate relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.

Pay Range is $73.10 to $91.38 / hourThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
