Primary Job Responsibilities
- Executes delivery of timely and accurate financial information, inclusive of recommendations, to Division, Area and Home Office personnel.
- Assist NSS Controller to provide accurate, timely and efficient month-end close process for up to two Divisions/Areas, including providing input to Divisions.
- Review, ensure accuracy, and provide feedback on journal entries completed by lower-level accountants, including inter-company, house close, and miscellaneous entries.
- Analyze budget variance results and provide recommendations.
- Compete assigned balance sheet account reconciliations, and review reconciliations performed by Staff Accountants.
- Review fixed asset additions, disposals and transfers.
- Analyze contingent job cost, working with Division Construction and Purchasing personnel to determine appropriate accounting reporting and action.
- Prepare Hotel and Sales & Use Tax Returns and facilitates tax payment.
- Facilitate in-house commissions payout and reporting.
- Provide financial information to the NSS Controller related to internal and external audit requests.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts within the NSS General Ledger Team, and the collective NSS Department.
- Attend required development training sessions as assigned throughout the year.

Required Education/Experience
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum of 3+ years of accounting or finance experience
Required Licensing, Registration and/or Certifications
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting theory and practice
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills
