36Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our amazing team of 15 PNP-AC providers and 15 Pediatric Intensivists as we continue to grow our team. We work together to cover our busy 49-bed multidisciplinary PICU 24/7. We have a varied patient population, including trauma, oncology, neurosurgery and pulmonary patients.
Our unit is unique in the amount of autonomy our Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) have to perform patient assessments, make diagnoses, and intervene with the strong support of the Intensivists. In addition, our APPs are part of the hospital’s Med Alert and Sepsis Alert teams. Previous Pediatric Critical Care experience preferable. Management of ICU caseload and ICU procedures will be covered in orientation.

Education and Experience Requirements
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses
Master’s Degree in Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Acute Care Certification is required. Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience or related specialized area strongly preferred.
Physician Assistants
Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies and a minimum 2 years of experience in a related specialized area strongly preferred.
