OmniOn Power is currently hiring a NPI Sourcing Specialist. The NPI Sourcing Specialist provides sourcing, quoting, and purchasing support for the R&D development organization, including New Product Introduction (NPI), New Technology Introduction (NTI), sustaining activities, and general laboratory operations. This role reports to the Senior Sourcing Program Leader and is located in Plano, TX

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Obtain requests for quote (RFQ) for new custom parts, new commercial components, and part tooling utilizing approved suppliers to obtain best cost at project volume 
  • Act as a central contact to suppliers for all new design orders 
  • Maintain system data, place orders, and follow through to receipt of material for technology projects in alignment with project schedule
  • Provide bill of material (BOM) cost analysis and track material only cost (MOC)
  • Analyze BOMs for new parts and part shortages
  • Collaborate with project manager, technical managers and engineers to complete short and long duration tasks per project schedule
  • Procure unique parts for release to manufacturing and production ramp
  • Manage First Article Inspection (FAI) of new custom materials
  • Transfer material from R&D control to factory production planning at end of NPI development

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field from an accredited university
  • Minimum two years’ experience material management and procurement
  • Two years of experience with SAP
