Job Description:

Job Family Definition:

The NPI Product Engineering team is responsible for enabling new hardware products to transition from development into scalable, high-volume manufacturing. The team designs, implements, and supports manufacturing processes from functional test through final packaging, ensuring products can be built efficiently, cost-effectively, and with consistent quality worldwide. The team works closely with product development, operations, quality, and global manufacturing partners to ensure new products are structured, configured, and prepared for production. Operating as a globally distributed organization aligned with major design centers, the NPI Product Engineering team plays a key role in delivering reliable, manufacturable products to customers at scale while maintaining a lean and flexible manufacturing approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Support new product introductions from early builds through production ramp by coordinating activities across engineering, operations, and manufacturing partners, ensuring tasks are completed on time and issues are addressed proactively

  • Work closely with internal teams and external contract manufacturers to prepare products for manufacturing, maintain clear communication, and help resolve challenges that impact schedule, quality, or readiness

  • Organize information, track action items, document processes, and help keep complex projects moving forward in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders

  • Investigate problems that arise during builds, gather input from relevant teams, and help drive practical solutions and continuous improvements

  • Contribute to activities such as product configuration, packaging readiness, and manufacturing setup to help ensure products can be produced efficiently at scale

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • Typically 2+ years of experience in a technical, manufacturing, or operations environment

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across teams, functions, and cultures

  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues

  • Reliable, accountable, and able to follow through on commitments in a fast-moving environment

  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and work both independently and as part of a team

  • Professional, collaborative mindset with a strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of tasks
