Job Purpose
The scope of practice for the NPD Generalist supports the changing landscape of healthcare in an inter-professional practice and learning environment. The NPD Generalist supports lifelong learners in an inter-professional environment that facilitates continuous development and learning for the healthcare team. The NPD Generalist develops tools, theories, skills, and knowledge to advance the practice of the NPD specialty.

Job Requirements:
Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing – REQUIRED
Licenses and/or Certifications:
Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas – REQUIRED
Current BLS certification – REQUIRED
Clinical Certification Specialty Certification or NPD Certification or Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) - PREFERRED
Work Experience:
Minimum three years of experience in clinical nursing practice and application of adult education theory in a hospital and/or School of Nursing.
