Who we are looking for

We’re seeking a VP, North America Marketing Manager to lead the strategy and execution of marketing programs that have a direct and measurable impact to our distribution channels and product goals.

Reporting directly to the Head of North America Marketing, the ideal candidate will have extensive Institutional marketing experience as well as experience leading registered and non-registered product launches and multi-channel, integrated marketing campaigns leveraging various marketing tactics such as paid search, advertising, paid media, social, in-person and virtual events, public relations, content, and digital experience. The role is based in Boston, MA.

The role will collaborate with members of Intermediary and Institutional Sales, Client Enablement, Strategy and Research, Product Development, Business Intelligence, Compliance and other internal teams to develop marketing strategies, align on messaging and lead integrated marketing campaigns from conception to execution.

What you will be responsible for

As VP, NA Marketing Manager for State Street Investment Management, you will:

  • Build campaigns and lead the marketing efforts for investment themes and applicable State Street Investment Management products (ETFs, Cash, DC, and DB) – manage all touch points to ensure consistency of messaging and voice

  • Develop and update collateral, videos, web content, sales tools and educational materials for general or channel-specific needs

  • Leverage data and business intelligence to create relevant, scalable and repeatable integrated marketing programs and key deliverables for State Street Investment Management products

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders on product positioning, product materials, capabilities messaging, webinars, web presence and segmented communications to relevant audiences

  • Measure and optimize marketing campaigns to ensure effectiveness against KPIs, target audience reach, and ultimately ROI

  • Manage a marketing budget against marketing plans

  • Collaborate with PR team to create earned media opportunities

What we value

  • A strong understanding of the institutional marketplace and the buying criteria of asset owners, financial institutions, consultants and DB and DC clients

  • In-depth understanding of registered product distribution and relevant FINRA and SEC marketing rules

  • Familiarity with marketing to broker dealers, RIAs, home offices, and TAMPs

  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to confidently interact with and influence senior stakeholders

  • Excellent relationship building skills

  • Ability to influence and collaborate to drive results

  • Strategic thinker, creative in approach

  • Understanding of CRM and reporting systems such as Salesforce, Adobe, and Tableau

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 10-15 years of relevant marketing experience; previous channel or product marketing experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably with major in marketing or communications

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $188,750 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
