Summary of Job Duties:

UAM is currently seeking a talented and experienced content writer to join the Department of Marketing and Public Relations at the university. This person will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content for various marketing and communications materials, including press releases, website copy, social media posts, print advertisements and email campaigns. This is a temporary, non-permanent position.

Duties will include:

- Write and edit press releases about the university’s news and events

- Conduct research and interviews to gather information for content creation

- Manage the UAM News webpage

- Collaborate with the Marketing and Public Relations team to develop content that aligns with the university's marketing and communication goals

- Edit and proofread content from various university departments to ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, journalism, communications or related field

 

-Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills

- Familiarity with content management systems and social media platforms
