Job Description:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced NOC Manager to lead our Network Operations Center (NOC) team in monitoring, maintaining, and optimising our network infrastructure, supporting the network operations 24X7 for internal IT. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in networking and IT operations, combined with excellent leadership and people management skills. Manage and mentor the office/virtual team (Should have relevant experience). Demonstrate leadership and personnel management skills.

You will actively work on operational issues along with internal and external stakeholders to recover from the system's failure (proactive/reactive). You will manage incidents and problems for each incident/ticket and need to ensure high uptime for the business.

Job Requirements - Attributes

  • The Candidate should hold hardcore 24x7 network Ops experience.
  • Provide front-end support for the Network Team while participating in internal P1/P2 Incident resolution bridge calls. Participate in Bridge calls with clients/users to troubleshoot network issues.
  • Work with different Vendors and Service Providers for faster and more accurate resolution.
  • Identifying open risks in the production network and providing input for mitigation.
  • Global customer interaction is one of the key expectations from candidates.
  • Manage and develop a team of individual contributor roles. Oversee a team of networking and IT support professionals, provide guidance, and ensure the team meets performance goals and deadlines.
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve complex network and IT issues. Act as a point of escalation for unresolved problems and coordinate with vendors or external resources as needed.
  • Monitor network performance and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement. Implement strategies to enhance network speed, reliability, and efficiency, ensuring optimal performance for users and applications.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, system updates, and troubleshooting procedures. For management review, generate regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and support activities.
  • Foster collaboration with other departments, such as application operation and development, infrastructure, and security teams, to ensure alignment of network and IT initiatives with broader organizational goals. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address concerns, provide updates, and solicit feedback.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of network outages, natural disasters, or other emergencies. Test and refine recovery strategies regularly to ensure readiness for unforeseen events.

Skills:

  • Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise (10+ years.)
  • Preferred knowledge of GCC (Global Customer Care) – preferable. 
  • The candidate should have excellent experience and knowledge of Level 1 support.
  • The candidate should have rich experience in corporate LAN & WAN infra.
  • Candidate must have worked on the latest technologies like Cloud, ACI, SDN, Routing & Switching, and SDWAN.
  • Security (Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower) (Added in advantage).
  • BGP Routing, Cisco Data Center Switching – Nexus 9K/7K/5K/2K, Cisco/HP enterprise switching.
  • Handling skills in working with global international clients
  • WAN Technologies: Cisco ASR and ISR routers, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, QOS, Multicasting
  • LAN/Wireless/Data-center technologies including TCP/IP, HSRP, STP, ACL, NAT, Nexus
  • Provide Level 1/2 support on Infrastructure and Integration-related issues.
  • Knowledge and experience with protocols such as SSH, FTP, NAT, SNMP, IPsec, QoS
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Must work well in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills must for project/implementation deliverables.
  • Documentation (MS Word, Excel & Visio etc.)
  • RCA preparation and SLA management as per ITIL best practices.
  • Proactively monitor computing platforms for performance issues & take quick actions.
  • Assist in developing Policies, Processes, and Procedures for the Infrastructure team.
  • Demonstrate and practice defined testing for all changes in the production environment.
  • Knowledge of system monitoring tools and commands to ensure quick resolution to issues.
  • Strong ISP/Product vendor coordination skills
  • Should be comfortable handling shift lead roles and managing escalations and support.
  • WAN Technologies: Cisco ASR and ISR routers, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, QOS, Multicasting
  • LAN/Wireless/Datacenter technologies including TCP/IP, HSRP, STP, ACL, NAT, Nexus
  • Provide Level 2/3 support on Infrastructure and Integration-related issues.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduate in engineering/IT : (BE/B.Tech.)

Preferred:  CCNA (Must), and  CCNP –Routing and Switching (Good to have)
