The role of NOC engineer provides a high level of monitoring, troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving issues. NOC engineers are responsible for using documented playbooks to respond to alerts, detect issues in network circuits and equipment, cloud and on-site servers, and facilitating incident management support. NOC engineers will effectively use monitoring systems and internal tools to perform level 1 and 2 troubleshooting.
Ideal candidates will possess characteristics of being a self-starter, proactive, go-getter attitude and have a strong interest in networking, servers, security, and automation. He/she will excel in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, possess strong technical verbal and reading communication skills, and capable of learning new procedures and systems quickly.
