THE ROLE:
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
Manage day-to-day operational activities, including nominations, confirmations, and outage management. Develop relationships and maintain direct communications with Operations, purchasers, and transportation providers.
Monitor and track marketing and transportation processes, including asset utilization, scheduling, position balancing, and volume reconciliation. Work closely with field teams and pipeline partners to resolve imbalances and mitigate financial exposure.
Verify trade confirms and enter trade details into energy trading risk management system. Work closely with Accounting and Risk teams.
Monitor revenue performance and make recommendations to optimize commitments and improve netbacks.
Respond to customer and stakeholder inquiries, execute sales and purchases as required, and ensure commitments and contractual obligations are accurately monitored and met.
Maintain rigorous contract administration and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance within all marketing workflows.
Review purchase statements and invoices, build and maintain internal databases, provide forecasts and monthly accrual data to Marketing Accounting team.
Conduct market research and fundamental analysis, including supply/demand trends, pricing dynamics, production volumes, pipeline positions, and marketing performance. Validate results, prepare projections, and communicate insights through clear and concise reporting.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to stay informed on production and operational activities; actively participate in daily/weekly Operations meetings.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with transportation providers, purchasers, and other external stakeholders to stay current on market developments and industry activity.
Support preparation of analyses, presentations, and materials for senior management and partner reporting.
Contribute to the 24/7 on-call support for NGL transportation issues, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or equivalent post-secondary education
5+ years of industry related experience
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong financial modeling capabilities and an aptitude for quantitative analysis
Experience using pipeline scheduling systems and energy trading risk management systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency and precision in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
Strong business acumen and understanding of North American commodity markets, particularly within Canada
Ability to build and maintain positive, productive relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
Possess an exceptional skill in creating slide decks tailored to different audience levels and delivering compelling presentations to showcase opportunities
Exceptional analytical, complex problem solving and decision-making skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A forward-thinking approach to integrating AI tools for improved data scraping, automation, and reporting efficiencies
