ING Italy is looking for a NFR Business Oversight Junior Data Analyst, to support second line oversight activities with a strong focus on data-driven analysis. The role combines business oversight on non-financial risks with quantitative analysis, supporting informed decision-making, risk identification and monitoring through data.
In this role, you will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, interacting with multiple stakeholders across the organization, and contributing to the evolution of oversight practices by leveraging data, analytics and automation.

What you’ll do
The team activities are quite varied – here are some of the main ones:
Support Business Oversight activities on Non-Financial Risks (e.g. process, control, third party, fraud-related topics), acting as second line of defence.
Contribute to risk identification, assessment and monitoring activities, including thematic reviews, deep dives and risk assessments.
Perform data analysis on risk, control and business metrics to identify trends, anomalies and emerging risks, supporting a data-driven oversight approach.
Support the development, maintenance and enhancement of dashboards, reports and KPIs for Business Oversight and management reporting.
Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of frameworks, policies, minimum standards and procedures.
Support interactions with first line functions, providing advisory input based on data insights and risk analysis.
Assist in monitoring regulatory and internal developments, translating them into structured analyses and impact assessments.
Who we are looking for
You have an academic degree (MSc or PhD) and a background in data analysis and visualization.
You have a strong interest in business oversight, non-financial risks and control frameworks within a banking or financial services environment.
You have a solid analytical mindset with a clear data-driven approach to decision making.
You have a basic to intermediate experience with data analysis tools and languages (e.g. Excel, SQL, Python or similar). Coding experience is considered a plus.
You show genuine curiosity for Generative AI and emerging technologies, with an interest in exploring how AI‑driven agents and automation can be leveraged to optimize processes and strengthen non‑financial risk oversight.
You have the ability to translate complex data and risk topics into clear insights for different stakeholders.
Curious, proactive and eager to learn, with the ability to quickly master new topics and frameworks.
Team player with good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
Good command of English, both written and spoken
