Are you passionate about storytelling and eager to learn the ins and outs of broadcast journalism? LEX18, the E.W. Scripps Company's NBC affiliate in Lexington, Kentucky, is seeking a motivated News Producer Intern to join our dynamic news team. This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced newsroom while learning from industry professionals who are committed to serving our community.

As a News Producer Intern, you'll work alongside our award-winning producers, reporters, and anchors to understand what it takes to create compelling newscasts and digital content that inform and engage our viewers. This internship offers real-world experience that will help you build the skills and knowledge needed to launch your career in broadcast journalism.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Gain exposure to the broadcast news industry
  • Write and create broadcast and digital content for WLEX
  • Perform assigned duties as relating to the internship
  • Develop skills based on the area supporting
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Internships are intended to be positions that are for a limited duration

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Strong desire to learn more about the industry
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Ability to follow directions
