What You Will Achieve

Lead technology transfer PM’s and the TO’s Change Control team for clinical &/or commercial vaccine and biotherapeutic drug substances.  Leads complex product transfer and product supply projects that are critical to PGS, site business plans and new product launches. 

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for senior project management of complex projects that involve multiple departments and frequently involve multiple sites and third-party customers. 

  • Recognized as a leader within the department and network for project management and provides project oversight for product transfer projects within PGS, site and network.  

  • Assists in capturing cost savings and ROI on continuous improvement (CI) projects related to product lifecycle support. 

  • Provide leadership in the development of strategic plans for business development and transfer and production of drug substance supplies for internal (network) and external (third party) customers. 

  • Evaluates and defines approach for project execution. 

  • Interface with various Pfizer site locations, development organizations, third party customers and contractors and key business partners. 

  • Assumes full responsibility for a project, ensuring quality of all work carried out. 

  • Also Leads the TO’s Change control group.

Additional responsibilities include mentoring and guiding supporting project managers and contributing department colleagues.   Preparation of comprehensive external presentations and reports encompassing all relevant areas of a project for communication to program team leads.  Displays strong initiative and commitment to the successful, on-time completion of projects.   The position will be the site Point of Contact (POC) for KM processes and will be expected to lead the following areas:

  • Build the site KM processes in line with the overall PGS strategy.

  • Engage site leadership in KM awareness and processes.

  • Conduct and maintain the site KM maturity assessment.

  • Prepare and lead the site through KM program implementation and deployment.

  • Lead the continuous improvement of the site KM program.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • BA/BS with 6+ years of experience or MBA/MS with 5+ years of experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization, including senior internal and/or external personnel on matters often requiring coordination between organizations

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, meeting deadlines, and working well under pressure

  • Ability to facilitate solutions to complex problems which requires the use of ingenuity, innovation, and creativity

  • Excellent verbal and written skills.  Must be able to articulate issues and solutions to the team and upper management.  Can produce high quality project reports and presentations

  • Understanding of Pfizer RFT (Right First Time) and lean manufacturing tools and strategies

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $139,100.00 to $231,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
