As a Statistical Process Control Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be focusing on improving strategies that allows the fab to detect and control process and improve process quality while reducing process variation. This position will need you to identify, diagnose and resolve process related problems by enabling better detection methodologies using SPC methodology, failure mode, FMEA,8D. You will be a key innovator in providing solutions of quality improvement. You will be assessing the existing manufacturing processes and identify areas that need optimization and improvement. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and overseeing process changes, identifying new control methodologies and participating in yield improvement and cost reduction activities, handling new process baseline qualifications and managing, auditing and liaising to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives.
Responsibilities
• Site SPC Coordinator- Responsible for driving and maintaining Automotive-level Statistical Process Control in Fab 6 in Manassas, VA
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by routinely monitoring process performance
• Set goals and priorities for factory activities through the standardized metrics scorecard, SPC roadmap, and SPC/Defense Line team leadership.
• Generate and maintain automated weekly reports to track performance for key SPC metrics.
• Represent factory during internal and external audits for SPC topics.
• Work with process areas to reduce costs through scrap reduction and excursion prevention
• Develop and deliver training and training materials on Statistics, Process control and related topics
• Work with SPC leaders in other Front End fabs to set a coordinated direction for Micron Process Control and support execution of a shared roadmap.
