  • Global Insight provides a broad array of data, products, solutions, insights & consulting into the NFC markets.
  • The portfolio within your remit will include datasets & consulting services to support critical strategic decision making across a diverse corporate landscape. Included in the portfolio:
    • Supply Chain Intelligence
    • Macro Economic Modelling & Forecasting (including PMI),
    • Country Risk & Credit Risk Management
    • Pricing & Procurement
    • Customs Scenario impact analysis & Early Warning Signals
    • Global Trade Analysis
    • Global Shipping & Logistics

What you’ll work on:

You will be responsible for direct selling new business across multiple markets , which may include industries such as Sogo Shosha, automotive, chemical, logistics, food, steel, and apparel, etc... This role involves leveraging our extensive industry coverage and operating both upstream and downstream in offshore markets. This will include both selling new solutions to existing clients and finding new logo customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting individual sales quota by growing a robust pipeline of opportunities and regularly communicating own opportunities
  • Build and execute on a growth plan to exceed sales objectives
  • Leads complex negotiations of commercial and contractual deals
  • Remain aware of product & market trends and responds to client/market demands with relevant products and services to drive revenue.
  • Partner with account management teams on overall sales revenue and retention and role model right behaviours

What we look for:

  • An outstanding individual who can rapidly develop an existing or new network within the corporate market and build deep understandings of the challenges & opportunities of our customers to align Global Insight offerings to support their business.
  • Build and strengthen partnerships with local system integrators and distributors to diversify and expand business channels.
  • Minimum of 8 years B2B consultative selling experience with proven track record of sales over multiple years as a new business sales executive.
  • Highly adept at building new contact bases, networking with existing organizations and partnering with customers for mutual success.
  • Substantial experience working in the NFC markets and sales selling consultative services/ data solutions within this space.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency (both written and spoken) in Japanese (native) and business English.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related industry.  
  • Experience working within different internal teams including those within GIA and collaboratively with other business lines and also collaboratively within a multinational matrix organization
  • Proven exceptional communication, selling, analytical, negotiation, problem solving and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of utilizing CRM software to track sales opportunities and customer activity
