The Team:

Our Latin America Commercial team focuses on expanding the adoption of commodity data, analytics, and market insights across energy and commodity markets. The team combines strong commercial execution with deep market understanding, working closely with global product specialists and regional industry leaders. We value curiosity, ownership of pipeline, and a collaborative mindset to unlock new growth opportunities across the region.


Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities across energy and commodity markets in Latin America.
  • Identify and engage senior stakeholders across trading, strategy, and investment functions within energy companies, financial institutions, and commodity market participants.
  • Position S&P Global Energy’s data, analytics, AI, and market insights solutions to address complex market and strategic challenges.
  • Collaborate with product specialists and global commercial teams to design solutions tailored to regional market needs and specific use cases of clients.
  • Drive new logo acquisition and expansion opportunities within strategic industries across the region.
  • Represent S&P Global Energy at industry events and executive-level engagements.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, consultative sales, AI, or data and analytics solutions within energy, commodities, financial services, or information services industries.
  • Strong understanding of commodity markets, energy value chains, or financial market dynamics.
  • Experience in engaging senior decision-makers and managing complex enterprise sales cycles.
  • Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Executive presence and ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across global teams.
  • High level of ownership, initiative and resilience in a growth-focused environment.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with AI, data platforms, analytics, or information services.
  • Knowledge of Latin American energy and commodity markets.
  • Exposure to AI market dynamics, digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, or AI applications in industry.
  • Experience working in global or cross-regional commercial organizations.
