New Business Executive; National Accounts (Hybrid)

This role is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies for targeted commercial, National Accounts (3,000 employees and up), as well as, the end-to-end sales strategy and process.  This role includes sales leadership of matrix partners who facilitate and assist in the sales cycle, and accountability for large and/or complex National Accounts within a dedicated market. Responsibilities include leading sales strategies, managing and developing consulting relationships, and organizing internal sales partners on the National Accounts sales team.

Responsibilities:

This role will be a vital component to Cigna maintaining a strong National Account presence in the respective market with consultants, prospects and clients.

Responsibilities to include:

  • New Sales:  Lead National Accounts strategy and responses for new business opportunities
  • Prospect Development:  Execute National Accounts prospect development plan for the respective market for new clients and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Consulting partner Development:  Lead execution of consultant development strategy in the respective market for National Accounts impacting new and existing business opportunities.
  • Mentorship: Contribute to the development of other sales professionals as necessary, as well as, refining the National Accounts go to market approach.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient knowledge (10+ years) in healthcare / managed care business; to include many or all of the following: product knowledge, underwriting, risk and financial analysis skills, marketing processes, sales practices, account management and knowledge of administrative operations
  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
  • Successful track record and/or possesses clear aptitude as a leader, administrator, negotiator, and salesperson
  • Experience in selling and managing health care programs for large and complex
  • Strong persuasion skills and effective communicator; possesses excellent relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated planning/organizational skills; ability to plan for both the long and short term; ability to work on many issues at once and to prioritize work
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with matrix partners in the organization
  • Customer focus - ability to meet customer expectations and act with a strong focus on how to deliver
  • Ability to obtain necessary licenses
  • Effective speaking and communication skills; demonstrated presentation skills

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
