Days/Evenings (United States of America)Patient Testing Responsibilities
The neurodiagnostic technician conducts various patient tests, including but not limited to:
Electromyography (EMG)
Electroencephalography (EEG)
Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS)
Summary of Responsibilities
Ensures timely completion of daily patient testing
Accurately documents pre-patient testing
Maintains clinical testing equipment
Performs all assigned duties in strict compliance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
Works to ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy
Education Requirements
Associate's degree from an accredited school
Basic knowledge of anatomy, including muscles, nerves, vestibular system, and visual system
Average mathematical skills
Basic understanding of electronics and instrumentation
Experience Requirements
Minimum of two years of recent experience in electronic diagnostics
Recent experience in EMG
Certified EMG desired and preferred
EEG experience preferred, but not required
Knowledge & Skills
Broad range of administrative and technical skills
Detailed knowledge of neurodiagnostic equipment
Ability to execute multi-step diagnostic procedures
Produces final output within established departmental standards
