The Neuro Interventional Special Procedure Technologist provides specialized imaging and procedural support for neurointerventional, angiographic, and endovascular procedures. Working closely with physicians, the technologist assists during complex diagnostic and therapeutic cases, delivers high-quality imaging, and helps ensure patient safety at all times. This role follows all regulatory requirements, radiation safety practices, and sterile technique standards. The technologist is an essential member of the care team, supporting both emergent and scheduled cases, including acute stroke and other life-saving interventions.
Two years' special procedures/interventional experience required. Excellent customer service skills. One year experience in neuro- interventional radiology preferred.
ARRT Certification. Under extenuating circumstances, a grace period of no more than one month allowed for renewals of ARRT. California permit in Radiology Technology and Fluoroscopy. BLS required. Venipuncture documentation of training required within one year of hire/ transfer. If the Tech is required to perform sticks then competency demonstrated (per CDHP Health and Safety Code 106985). Annual 4 hours of stroke education required.
