Job Description
As a Network Support Specialist with OMES you will enjoy:

Full-time 40-hour work weeks.
Support the Information Services Division.
Salary is up to $57,200.00 based on education and experience.
This is an on-site position located in Oklahoma City, OK.
Position Summary
This position is assigned responsibilities involving the administration and direction of a data or voice information technology program and related systems. This may include direction of a voice network, wireless network, data network, or similar system for the State telecommunications or information technology program.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative assistance with team scheduling, request queue management, develop and provide management reports on network operations, staffing, and inventory functions
Provide administrative assistance with team documentation to include knowledge base and monitoring system updates
Coordinate requirements with technical staff, contractors, vendors, or others as needed to provide administrative support for team implementation of tasks and activities
Represent the agency or State at national, professional, or other meetings or functions concerning data or voice network requirements and activities
Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical demands include the ability to bend, crouch, stoop, sit and/or lift objects weighing 50 pounds or more. The position uses manual equipment, including dollies and carts. Some extended hours, including evenings and weekends maybe required.
Minimum Qualifications
Requirements include a High School Diploma and 2 years of office management and/or clerical work with a good understanding of Microsoft Office Products.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess
Basic knowledge of networking principles, cabling, wireless principles, power and uninterruptable power supply, and connectivity troubleshooting
Knowledge of national electric code (NEC), BICSI methodology of cabling installation, point to point wireless circuits, and voiceover internet protocol and firewall rules
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing demands
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work as a team
Skills in customer service, and verbal and written communication
