The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a talented Network Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA to assist with the client’s complex infrastructure, with expertise spanning multiple critical domains, including custom cross-domain architecture. Your work will focus on designing, engineering and implementation of complex mission networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the intricacies and interdependencies within these systems, enabling informed decision-making and providing strategic guidance

  • Spend a significant amount of time dedicated towards assisting improving reliability in each of the systems and researching root-cause of Tier 2 related tickets

  • Foster collaborative partnerships across functional teams and identify opportunities to build efficiencies into innovative IT systems that support the cyber mission systems

  • Required to participate in the 24/7 duty phone rotation – estimated at 3x per year

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (i.e., Computer Science, Computer Engineering), with a minimum of 15+ years’ experience in a relevant technical field to the position

  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance, with polygraph

  • 5+ years in Network Engineering (LAN/WAN, Communications, Computer Systems, Cross Domain), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent work experience

  • Strong background in CI/CD in relationship to Cross Domain Solutions and general software development

  • Sound judgement, problem solving, and decision-making skills with an ability to adapt to emerging issues and changing priorities under short deadlines

  • 15+ years in Network Security: Experience with network security technologies, such as:

    • Firewalls (configuration, rule management)

    • Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)

    • Secure network architecture design

  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.), architectures (LAN, WAN, WLAN), and devices (routers, switches, firewalls)

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and stay abreast of leading-edge technologies

Desired:

  • Experience with both on-premise and cloud deployment technologies and automation

  • Detailed oriented, organized, able to multitask, and adaptable to shifting requirements

  • Flexibility – works well both independently and as a team player; must be eager to learn

  • Candidate should be a self-starter and possess a willingness to dive into new technologies when appropriate

  • Experience implementing and documenting standard operating procedures of systems or networks (e.g., Linux, Window, Cloud platforms etc.)

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$131,800 - $290,000
