The Network Analyst will be responsible for overseeing operations of the ENMAX Corporate Network, continually monitoring network performance - ensuring high availability, analyzing data, vulnerabilities, and maintaining network documentation. In this role you will provide complex troubleshooting to diagnose network outages, install & configure network hardware, troubleshoot and resolve immediate situations while proactively scanning and remediating to prevent situations. The Network Analyst will oversee critical patching activities, as well as bringing security-aware mindset to our day-to-day operations.
Major Responsibilities:
Implementation, configuration & support of network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers)
Troubleshoot and diagnose complex network outages and connectivity issues
Troubleshoot, diagnose and support PBX system, SBC, SBA & voice gateways
Lead efforts to resolve network incidents and ensure the network is secure, reliable, and operating efficiently, and provide support to end users for network-related matters
Perform routine maintenance, and plan upgrades to hardware and software to improve efficiency and functionality
Analyze network requirements and performance metrics to recommend improvements
Maintain documentation of logical network and configuration standards
Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies within the network environment
Ensure that network changes follow internal IT Change Management processes
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
Industry certifications (i.e. CCNA, CCNP) considered an asset
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a network support professional
Working knowledge of voice technologies (PBX, SIP, PRI, Voice Gateways, SBC, SBA)
Strong understanding of Local Area Networks, WiFi, Wide Area Networks
Advanced knowledge and experience with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
Strong knowledge of Load Balancers and firewalls
Strong knowledge of office Wireless (WiFi) technologies
Experience working with Internet/WAN service providers, integrating with WAN technologies such as MPLS L3VPN, VPLS, EVPL
Knowledge and experience with network monitoring solutions (e.g Solarwinds, WireShark)
Knowledge of network security standards, frameworks and best practices (i.e. NIST, Zero Trust)
Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex scenarios
Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Salary: Technical Services Analyst, Level B (Current CUPE 2025 rates)
$88,179.91 - $93,694.87 - $99,190.00 - $104,704.96 - $110,219.93
Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
