Job Purpose

The Key Account Manager is responsible to proactively address and manage customer needs in coordination with all relevant stakeholders in a highly responsive manner. He/ She must be able to identify root causes and coordinate Pfizer actions for resolution using new and previously developed tools.

The role is responsible for maximizing access to Pfizer portfolio within the allocated key accounts/customers/territory, in alignment with commercial objectives and activities. Responsible to identify business opportunities and to follow up directly on the major customers involved. Manage Pfizer Portfolios, communicating with all stakeholders from different departments to secure the Portfolios growth.

Key Accountabilities

             Customer Management & Partnerships

  • Ensure the development of a customer focused organization - Put the customer at the center of what we do.
  • Proactively anticipate and create customer needs in close coordination with all internal stakeholders (marketing, medical, Access ....)
  • Establish, maintain, and leverage quality relationships with current and emerging customers.
  • Recommend and build partnerships in areas that will help Pfizer to obtain greater market access.
  • Identify Strategic , Key , Core and Foundation accounts based on Segmentation and Prioritization for each account.
  • Stakeholder’s engagement and develop strategic projects to enrich
  • Pfizer Portfolio uptake and drive new recommendation.
  • Liaise internally with all stakeholders from supply, Tender and other functions for ensuring Portfolios growth and enhancement.

Customer Records / Information to Support Decision Making

  • Acquire and enhance Pfizer access and visibility to policy making in allocated Public
  • Institution accounts.
  • Have complete understanding of Decision-Making Process and Decision-Making People.
  • Maintain an up-to-date details and map of formal / informal decision makers and decision-making process for each allocated account, Update the information/map quarterly.
  • Partner with Pfizer stakeholders to leverage activities and investment.
  • Maintain Customer record documents: (Current / potential/ emerging junior partners) e-mail addresses, mobiles, business figures and logistics in the “Visiting List”.
  • Record performance delivery monthly against the Annual Customer Partnership Plan and report impact quarterly.
  • Be completely informed and educated on the Institutional framework, priorities, challenges, policy, and procedure change of each relevant institution. Report and coordinate Pfizer-PBG response accordingly.

Enlisting and Product availability

  • Responsible for Pfizer Portfolio Product Enlisting activity – Innovative Assets - in the target Accounts.
  • Collect and maintain robust Data for target accounts/territory
  • Consumption of Pfizer Portfolio products by month.
  • Sharing Stock levels report monthly basis.
  • Competitive information on prices, consumption, activity, investment etc…
  • Share quarterly report with all stakeholders and perform inventory management with the data.
  • Ensuring timely Purchase Orders from Institutes.
  • Proactively coordinating with concerned department on maintaining required inventory.
  • Monitor the product hygiene (shelf life) proactively
  • Coordinate deliveries against PO from the supply point in line with requested delivery date and inventory at the customer end. Influence and always align the PO dates with customer to ensure product availability
  • Coordinate and influence stock movement from CMS/central warehouse to hospitals to ensure proper inventory levels at all the hospitals/accounts.
  • Work with Marketing team to synchronize all Marketing activities per account .
  • Build and track Annual Strategic Objectives for allocated customers/accounts.

 

Track Progress

  • Report Progress Monthly /quarterly/Annually.
  • Build and track Annual Business/Sales Objectives.
  • Account level target achievements.
  • Report progress quarterly
  • Coordinate the different sales activities and programs inside certain account among different team members.

  • Support the development and implementation of customer management tools e.g. Targeting, Key Account Management
  • Ensure that customer focus is built into country organization learning and development programs. Serve as a champion of the Customer Focused organization and a resource to encourage CCS through learning and development and informal coaching.
  • Produce a weekly pre-call plan and report visits and other activities

Job Specific technical/Functional/Professional Competencies:

  • Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical industry and Healthcare environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with in-depth understanding of customer management – motivation, needs and building partnerships.
  • Must be able to demonstrate competence in influencing a broad range of stakeholders through credible, clear, and logical communication.
  • Commercially astute with strong business acumen. Ability to identify and capture sales

Experience and Knowledge

  • 5+ years of Experience.
  • Solid/strong performance for the past year as per company indicators.
  • Solid accomplishment of Key account is must.
  • Pfizer Therapeutic areas experience is a plus.
  • Strong Communication skills. Proficiency in written, spoken English and presentation skills are highly required.
  • Demonstrated team player/dedicated to building a team culture that values, recognizes, and generates high performance, supports innovation and challenges the status quo.
  • Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
  • Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
