Overall Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize enterprise-level backend solutions using .NET Core technologies
Lead the development and implementation of microservices and API integrations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, QA, and business analysts to deliver high-quality applications
Conduct code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and ensure adherence to coding standards
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues promptly
Participate in architectural discussions and provide input on system improvements
Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and best practices
Mentor junior team members to promote knowledge sharing and skill development
Stay updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve backend systems
Software Requirements
Extensive proficiency in C# and .NET Core (version 3.1 or higher)
Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
Strong knowledge of ASP.NET Core MVC and Web API
Experience with Entity Framework Core for data access
Working knowledge of SQL Server and query optimization
Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
Version control proficiency (Git, Azure DevOps, or TFS)
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
Knowledge of message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and automation tools
Experience with front-end frameworks (Angular, React) is a plus
Technical Skills (Category-wise)
Programming Languages:
Required: C# (.NET Core 3.1+), JavaScript
Preferred: TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
Frameworks & Libraries:
Required: ASP.NET Core MVC, ASP.NET Core Web API, Entity Framework Core
Preferred: Dapper, SignalR, Automapper
Databases & Data Management:
Required: SQL Server, familiar with stored procedures, performance tuning
Preferred: NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Redis cache
Tools & DevOps:
Required: Visual Studio, Git, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes (basic)
Preferred: CI/CD pipeline tools (Jenkins, Azure Pipelines)
Development Methodologies:
Agile, Scrum, DevOps practices, Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Experience
5+ years of proven experience in backend development with .NET Core
Demonstrable experience designing and implementing microservices architectures
Strong background in REST API design, development, and consumption
Experience with cloud deployment, especially Azure services, is preferred
Prior experience leading technical teams or mentoring junior developers
Day-to-Day Activities
Develop and enhance backend APIs, microservices, and integration modules in .NET Core
Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate backend services and ensure seamless user experiences
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices
Perform routine code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure quality standards
Support deployment activities and monitor system performance in production environments
Participate in scrum meetings, backlog grooming, and sprint planning
Document technical designs, workflows, and deployment procedures
Continuously evaluate new tools, frameworks, and processes to improve development efficiency
Qualifications & Soft Skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in enterprise backend development using .NET Core and related technologies
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, MCPD) are a plus
