Job Summary
Responsible for performing various financial planning and analysis activities, specifically related to reimbursement issues. The position contributes to system-level net revenue reporting, with specific focus on ensuring data content accuracy and developing impactful analytics.Net Revenue experience in healthcare highly preferred
Strong analytical skills
Must be a self starter
Experience with Kodiak (Crowe RCA) highly preferred
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor Degree (preferred concentration in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics). Advanced degree preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Certified Public Accountant preferred
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
Minimum four (4) to seven (7) years of work experience
Preference in healthcare analytic work
Effective oral and written communication skills
Skills must include analytical capabilities sufficient for preparing revenue schedules
Knowledge of reimbursement structures from commercial and government payors preferred
Experience retrieving data from various systems such as Excel, Lawson, EPSI, and Crowe RCA
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Supports monthly financial close process with specific focus on ensuring data content accuracy, preparing trend models, researching rate variance explanations and communicating findings. Journal entry preparation and reconciliation is required.
Analyzes and interprets financial data, converting it into information that can be used by management for decision making.
Contributes to the development of accounting reserve methodologies.
Seeks to understand the relationships and dependencies from all aspects of the revenue cycle and reimbursement sources on the net revenue performance.
Contributes to cross-departmental projects and net revenue software implementations.
Liaises with departments across the organization.
Active in the Crowe RCA user community.
Remains informed of government and commercial reimbursement and regulatory changes
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
