Position summary
As a .NET Engineer on the Ascend team, you'll be a key contributor to the software platform that powers Trek's independent bike dealer network. This is a full-stack, end-to-end ownership role — you'll architect, build, and maintain a complex, multi-tier retail management solution spanning on-premises environments and Azure cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful .Net Engineer will:
· Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software features with a focus on reliability, scalability, performance, and security
· Own your work end-to-end: from technical design through testing, deployment, and monitoring
· Build and maintain RESTful APIs and web applications using .NET / ASP.NET Core
· Write and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas on SQL Server / Azure SQL
· Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment practices on Microsoft Azure
· Champion Agile best practices — participate actively in standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
· Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate technical solutions clearly
· Troubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues, and design inefficiencies
Skills, Experience & attributes
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
· Overlap with US morning and/or evening business hours.
· Provide support to the business users of the application in a support developer role as a part of a 24/7 support rotation schedule.
· 3-8 years of related experience required.
· 3+ years of experience with .NET, C#, OOPs, design patterns, Source Control and Unit Testing is required.
· 2+ years of experience with ASP.NET MVC or Core and ORM tools required.
· 3+ years of experience with SQL Server 2016 and/or Azure SQL Database, SQL queries, stored procedures required.
· Experience with RESTFUL API using Web API, Asp.net Core.
· Experience with HTML 5, CSS 3.0, Bootstrap, JavaScript, Angular 18+.
· Experience with Point of Sale (POS) Systems and retail sales environment a plus.
· Current with latest security protocol standards; including but not limited to HTTPS and OAuth2.
· Demonstrated success working with a US-based software development team.
· Exceptional business and technical listening, oral, and written skills required.
· In-depth understanding of Software Development/Engineering Methodology in Development, Production, and Testing Environments with Standards Documentation required.
· Experience with the Agile Development methodology.
Additional preferred experience
· Experience with VSTS or other CI/CD platforms.
· Experience with Microsoft desktop applications (WinForms and WPF) preferred.
· Expertise with Service Bus, Azure Event Hub
· Experience with Microsoft Azure preferred.
· Experience with GIT.
· Experience with Azure Cloud Services
