The Stock & Assets Manager UK is accountable for ensuring the performance of the stock required to the Packaged Gases operations in the UK in a service model, working on two main axes:
1) availability at the right time at the right place (cylinders/bundles, empty & full)
2) the optimization of the assets usage and costs.
To this end, they hierarchically lead a team in charge of the following main processes:
S&OP: proposing an updated demand forecast and required production plan enabling the setup of the right resources (people & assets) at the right time to meet customer demand in the mid- to long- term horizon.
Assets Management: investment requests, cross-border asset transfers, gas service changes.
Stock Management: stock target definition, offer review, mobile assets reallocation.
Retesting Management: from mid- to long-term planning (Retesting Planning) to the weekly level (Production Scheduling).
Their team is in close contact with the primary transport dispatchers for organizing and optimizing the flows between plants, in close coordination with the secondary logistics and testing planning teams.
The entity Stock & Assets Manager’s scope covers plants, hubs, distributors stock points.
The Stock & Assets Manager UK is accountable for ensuring the highest availability of PG mobile assets at the lowest total cost, planning and measuring the performance of the physical inventories and leading action plans to reduce IDR (Inventory Difference Rate).
