Raytheon is seeking a Director, Operations/Supply Chain Management for the Naval Power (Shipboard Missiles) strategic business unit. The candidate will be responsible for directly leading a team of Program Operations Managers and Material Program Managers while overseeing a dynamic and complex program. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing programs, operations and supply chain strategies, long-range planning, material forecasting oversight, quarterly EACs reviews, Metrics and Data Analytics, and the overall execution of the program(s). 
 

The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one’s own job function as well as with parties external to the organization. 
 

What You Will Do: 

  • Working closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to ensure successful supplier/factory management and execution in supporting program needs and requirements 
  • Long range planning, AOP responsibility and generation, Quarterly EAC review’s, Material Sales Forecasting, material budget/target, and Risk & Opportunity Management 
  • Customer Proposal & Gate Review Support 
  • Develop and execute Material Strategies which support Customer requirements and meet Program objectives 
  • Issue/Conflict resolution within organizations, between organizations and with suppliers and/or customers 
  • Willingness to Travel Domestically/Internationally, as required 
  • Lead a team of 6 Supply Chain and Program Operations managers
     

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 14 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) with Earned Value
  • Active and transferable Secret Clearance U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain higher clearance level or program access prior to start date
     

Qualifications We Prefer: 

  • Experience leading personnel and teams in matrixed organizations as a collaborative leader that shares program information and requirements to enable success. 
  • Experience interfacing with US Government customers and all levels of internal management. 
  • Good interpersonal skills to influence and manage cross functional tasks. 
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills. 
  • Experience with Six Sigma/CORE tools and applications. 
  • Experience leading teams in cost reduction/process improvement initiatives. 
  • PM level 4 or above certification 
  • MPM level 4 or above certification 
  • Strong Earned Value Management experience 
  • Capture and Proposal Management experience 
  • Engineering and operations background

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
