Seeking a Finance Manager to support Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) cadence for the Naval Power Strategic Business Unit. This manager will join our dynamic finance team in an exciting portfolio that has programs in all stages of the product life cycle. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing requirements. In this role, the successful candidate will support all Finance activities related to current-year financials, which includes supporting weekly reporting deliverables, the monthly forecast cadence, balance sheet analysis, and ad hoc requests and variance analysis for the four key financial metrics.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable producing individual work product, analysis and in use of system tools; but be able to lead group by setting expectations and cadence to effectively operate. Additionally, you should possess strong technical knowledge of finance and program controls, strong problem-solving abilities, and good communication skills. This role will provide the opportunity to increase exposure to multiple facets of not only the finance organization but also the Naval Power functional leadership team. The manager will be responsible for one direct reporting analyst who supports tools and process harmonization.

You will partner with the Naval Power FP&A Leadership Team to complete monthly and quarterly close deliverables. You will also be responsible for variance analysis, Rplan updates, interface with SSBU finance teams for inputs on key metric drivers, and other ad hoc requests from the Raytheon FP&A team.

What You Will Do

  • Support the monthly forecast process deliverables and reviews at the Naval Power and Raytheon levels.
  • Maintain RPlan data (including key metrics and elements of costs) & attributes during monthly forecast and AOP updates.
  • Coordinate & Communicate with SSBU and Program Finance teams to set expectations for forecast deliverables including template setup & flow down and deliverable timing & expectations.
  • Manage weekly Naval Power FP&A reporting and R&O analysis / consolidation.
  • Support workforce planning meetings and deliverables.
  • Support the development of executive level presentations going to both Raytheon and RTX leadership.
  • Manage and lead one direct report.
  • Ability to utilize collaboration tools and be on camera on a regular basis

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a similar field or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
  • Experience with FP&A.
  • Experience with APEX, RPlan or similar tools.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Masters' Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related. 
  • Experience with RPlan and AO reporting.
  • Experience with AOP development, forecasting, and related FP&A activities.
  • Prior management experience with leading a team.
  • Experience with different contract types and terms including cash terms.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to include executive level interaction.
  • Sound analytical, problem identification, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and successfully lead in a cross functional team environment.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to balance and meet multiple commitments at once.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to convey critical financial analyses to all levels of the organization through effective PowerPoint deck development and messaging.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
