The National Sales and Marketing Manager – Rare Diseases will have responsibilities falling into three categories:
Lead Marketing efforts relating to the promotion, sale and administration of Fabrazyme and Myozyme in Canada
Manage the (2) Key Account Managers (KAMs) who will promote these products in Western Canada and Quebec/Atlantic Canada,
Promote these products for Key Accounts within Ontario
Main Responsibilities:
This role will lead the development and deployment of key marketing tactics for Canada utilizing a modest budget. They will use their ongoing understanding of market/customer needs and marketing experience to make prioritized choices about the promotional mix to maximize uptake and maintain efficient use of resources
As Marketing Lead this role will lead development of comprehensive Business and Strategic Plans and ensure buy-in from team and senior leaders. This role will ensure forecasting efforts are as accurate as possible by working with GTMC and other cross functional colleagues
This role will engage with Global Fabry and Pompe teams to ensure alignment and maximize use of resources
In their role as manager of KAMs, this role will ensure all P&C processes are carried out including evaluation, engagement and development. This role will perform ongoing coaching of their KAMs both remotely and in the field as time allows
This role will work with Key Accounts and HCPs within Ontario to ensure the continued modest growth of Fabrazyme and slow the decline of Myozyme
The role will be a part of the Franchise Leadership Team reporting to the Franchise Head
HSE REQUIREMENT/STATEMENT
Supervises and monitors compliance with employment and health and safety legislation to ensure that employees work within the policies, procedures and regulations applicable to their work.
Participates in the investigation of incidents and work-related illnesses
Responds promptly to all health and safety concerns or incidents and completes the appropriate documentation in a timely manner
Takes every reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of staff
Ensures that protective equipment and clothing required is used by staff
Cooperates and assists the Joint Health and Safety Committee in carrying out its functions
Advises staff of any potential or actual health and safety hazard of which they are aware
CONTEXT OF THE JOB/MAJOR CHALLENGES
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of (and passion for) the Fabry and Pompe marketplace (and patients) in Canada
Must show an ability to be flexible across the various responsibilities of the role being comfortable working in a resource constrained environment recognizing that not “everything” will be possible given available resources
In the face of historic engagement levels in this space must be able to prioritize activities to ensure maximum results given reduced resources
About You
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Certifications
Undergraduate Degree or better
Experience
+5 years of commercial experience in Sales and Marketing, preferably within the Rare disease space with Fabry/Pompe specific experience
People Management experience preferred
Competencies
Must have strong understanding of Pharma Marketing processes and best practices
Must be able to read and interpret a product P&L statement
Must understand the role and best practices of Pharma Salespeople and be able to coach to those behaviors

The salary range for this position is:
$125,300.00 - $180,966.66All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
