We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Operations team at Marsh as the National Manager Claims Operations – Australia working in our Sydney or Melbourne office.  This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. 

National Manager Claims Operations – Australia

We are looking for a strategic and experienced National Manager to lead our Australian Claims Operations department, overseeing Corporate, Risk Management, and Specialty claims. This role is critical in delivering exceptional claims management services to clients and brokers, driving operational excellence and executing our claims strategy across Australia.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead and develop the national claims operations team, fostering strong staff engagement, career development, and seamless collaboration with the Centre of Excellence in Mumbai.

  • Deliver high-quality claims management services across all broking segments, ensuring client needs are met through consulting, advocacy, and negotiation.

  • Drive the implementation of claims operations initiatives and strategies aligned with both local and global objectives, monitoring key performance indicators.

  • Enhance claims processing efficiency by managing systems, processes, and data analytics to improve client insights and operational performance.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with broker distribution teams, carriers, and internal stakeholders to support business growth and operational alignment.

What you need to have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading a claims function across general insurance segments.

  • Bachelor’s degree or Insurance Diploma (preferred).

  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to scope, manage, and deliver key initiatives.

  • Expertise in process management, leveraging IT and productivity tools to drive operational efficiency.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
