Where there’s care, there’s You.

Through the battles and the breakthroughs, we're there. Where will you be?

For over a century, our people have delivered compassionate care across hospitals, aged care homes, community services and research. Today, with more than 10,000 dedicated staff across Australia, we’re continuing to grow our impact — and we’re looking for people who want to grow with us.

At Mercy Health, it’s all about taking what we have and making it better.

To do that, we need you.

Join us at Mercy Health and help our teams deliver even greater outcomes.

About the opportunity

As our National Lifestyle Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping meaningful, innovative and resident‑centred lifestyle programs across Mercy Health’s national residential aged care portfolio.

You will bring vision, creativity and strong leadership to enhance resident wellbeing, reduce social isolation and ensure every home delivers engaging, culturally responsive and person‑centred lifestyle experiences.

Partnering closely with Lifestyle Coordinators, Service/Precinct Managers, volunteers and community partners, you’ll elevate practice standards, mentor staff, and embed scalable lifestyle initiatives that honour the individuality, dignity and joy of residents in our care.

This is an opportunity to influence national practice, drive innovation and contribute to healthy ageing outcomes for thousands of older Australians.

What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Strong leadership capability and experience mentoring and developing teams

  • Proven ability to design, implement and evaluate innovative, resident‑centred lifestyle programs

  • Excellent communication, organisation and time‑management skills

  • A collaborative, compassionate mindset and an ability to build strong relationships across diverse stakeholders

  • Confidence in navigating compliance, quality standards and industry legislation

  • Experience managing programs across multiple sites or a large, complex service environment

  • A creative, forward‑thinking approach that sees opportunities for improvement and innovation

  • Ability to support intergenerational programs, volunteers, and community partnerships

  • Financial literacy to support budgeting and resource planning

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A relevant qualification (Diversional Therapy, Health Promotion, Health Science, Allied Health, Gerontology or similar)

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
