The Position

Role :- National Sales Manager: Foundation Medicine
Function:- Foundation Medicine Sales
Reporting :- Business Head Roche Diagnostics India

Location: Andheri, Mumbai
 

As a team leader this role is responsible for science driving commercial success of the Roche Foundation Medicine portfolio in the country.


a Defining the market and understanding the current opportunity pipeline of the oncology
sequencing/CGP market across the patient pathway.
b. Provide day to day guidance and mentorship to the Clinical Business Manager and Clinical
Oncology Specialists
c. Driving the national sales targets
d. Create reference ability for the solutions to transform clinical care, improve patient outcomes
and benefit the healthcare
e. Build clinical marketing strategies
f. Be the strong support for the team guiding on clinical and commercial aspects

Market Development
● Ensure follow-up and closure of commercial discussions with clinical experts in collaboration
with associated lab distributors and sales team across region
● Establish strong relationships with key oncologists in the healthcare arena including medical
practitioners and executives of hospitals and healthcare groups, drive the concept and
commercialization of FMI and Precision Medicine solutions for greater patient value
● Demonstrate how our Precision Oncology Solutions can transform clinical care, improve patient
outcomes and benefit the healthcare system
● Support team in driving account based customized plans and programs to drive clinical adoption
of FMI at target hospital sites and clinician segment
● To ensure the achievement of business targets in geographic area through effective planning
and implementing of sales and marketing strategies
● Evaluate market trends and gather market and competitive information


KOL Development

● Build and maintain close relationships with external thought leaders in India and global, driving
focus group meetings, advisory boards, clinical meetings etc.
● Ensure execution of Foundation Medicine Services
● Participate in relevant industry meetings and conferences as agreed basis organizational priorities

Resource Development & Optimization

● Build, guide and support the team on clinical and commercial aspects
● Develop direct reports to continuously improve and confidently take on additional
responsibilities
● Implement quarterly plan and review meetings with employees as well as set and monitor
annual performance and development goals
● Manage resources including leave to ensure territory coverage is optimized
● Review territory structures and recommend staffing levels to ensure that optimal service levels
and sales growth are achieved


Process Oriented and Cross Functional Collaboration

● Define and follow a process of operational with use of BISTRO, Rexis and other Sales and
knowledge transfer tools
● Ensure sales force effectiveness
● Maintain a productive working partnership with other functions including Marketing, logistics,
finance, HR, legal, IT, MSA and service
● Collaborate with the other members of the marketing team, Business Area in order to ensure
effective/efficient business process and success.
● Connect with APAC and Global Colleagues on driving the clinical campaigns, KOL engagements
and training programs

Qualification:

○ PhD in Genetics
○ or
○ Masters in Sciences/Biotechnology with strong sequencing experience

Experience:

○ Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with a consistent record of high performance
and results along with sales team management experience
○ Experience of Hospital ecosystems
○ People leader experience of minimum 4-5 years
