National Construction Manager

The National Construction Manager (NCM) is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing vertical construction operations across multiple projects and regions. This position ensures strategic alignment, operational efficiency, and adherence to quality standards while managing budgets and timelines. The NCM will serve as a working manager, directly managing projects in addition to leading the construction team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a good working knowledge of manufactured home construction and overall industry standards.
  • Collaborate with vertical construction team in pre-construction project planning.
  • Assign and mentor construction managers, ensuring compliance with safety, HUD, and company standards.
  • Coordinate with sales and project teams to align schedules and deliverables.
  • Foster collaboration among internal teams, contractors, and customers.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Report on Key Metrics to management.
  • Oversee manufactured home construction, including site prep, installation, utilities, and grading.
  • Lead pre‑construction planning, define project scope, and coordinate with sales, project managers, and contractors.
  • Assign and supervise construction managers, ensuring quality, safety, timelines, and proper documentation in BuilderTrend and other tools.
  • Manage communication, schedules, change orders, and project updates across teams.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation:

$122,000 - $153,000 total comp

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple vertical construction projects from start to finish concurrently at a national or multi-regional scale.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Builder Trend, Excel, Gantt Charts, and Smartsheet.
  • Knowledge of HUD, OSHA, and industry regulations.
