Role Description
National Account Directors for National Community Oncology Networks are tasked with building and maintaining strong relationships with the major national community oncology provider networks (such as AON and Athena). Serving as the main liaison for these networks' executive leadership, they oversee population health initiatives, communicate the value of our oral contracts, and collaborate with the National Accounts team on transactional matters. These directors work alongside the National Account TL and the National Account Collaboration Team, which includes GPO NADs, KADs/KAD TLs with member practices, assigned ABMs, OSADs, ODLs, relevant medical colleagues, and the brand teams. Additionally, the Community Oncology NAD supports commercial activities for prominent professional oncology organizations like NCODA and OnCare Alliance, engaging closely with Relationship Managers in the Patient Solutions A&PR Team.
Strong business acumen and an understanding of the complexities associated with the evolving healthcare environment are required for success. This includes a strong working knowledge of the Oncology market, and both Community Oncology and GPO dynamics. Outstanding project management & communication skills are critical including advancing quality-based initiatives at scale that mutually align with the Oncology BU’s portfolio priorities and the networks patient care and population health management priorities. NADs proactively strategize with Pfizer internal stakeholders (Commercial Teams, HQ platform Teams, National Accounts Team and other OAG colleagues) to execute in an alignment with Brand Team, Oncology BU and Pfizer organizational strategy.

Business Acumen: Demonstrated strong knowledge of the evolving healthcare market/landscape, ability to develop and manage executive-level relationships with Key Accounts (C and D Suite), demonstrated account management & negotiation skills, and understanding of how to prioritize resources and develop actionable account-level business plans.
Account Planning: Demonstrated ability to understand, influence and adapt to changing local healthcare dynamics and key customer and stakeholder needs; assesses needs/opportunities at key accounts, develops and advances effective strategies and tactics to address needs/opportunities assessed, and prioritizes limited resources in order to create 'wins' for the Customer and for Pfizer Oncology; aligns local, regional or National Account needs with Pfizer goals; understands the healthcare and local market trends and accordingly develops appropriate account plans.
Relationship Management: Builds and deepens strong, trusting relationships; has persuasive oral and written communication skills and understands the role in the wider context of Pfizer and the healthcare environment; effective listening and communication skills - thinks and communicates with the audience's needs in mind.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $182,000.00 to $303,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
