Job Description
As MV Commercial Engineering Advisor – Product Solutions with Rockwell Automation, you will support the North America Sales Organization, Distributor Network, and Medium Voltage Customers, responsible for the MV suite of products including MV Motor Control Centers and MV Variable Frequency Drives. You will be part of Engineered-To-Order (ETO) environment, where there are customizable solutions to meet customer-specific requirements. You will report to Manager, MV Commercial Engineering and will work Hybrid in Cambridge, ON.
Primary Responsibilities:
- The MV Commercial Engineering Specialist is responsible for supporting North American sales and Distribution for our Medium Voltage suite of products which includes both Motor Control Centers and Variable Frequency Drives.
- Regional responsibility to deliver growth through quotation and orders targets to meet and exceed Annual Operation Plans
- Collaboration with sales team to develop and execute strategies to support regional or industry growth and revenue plans; Develop WIN strategies, focus account plans, optimize solutions, and qualify and close opportunities
- Review specification documents for a variety of industrial applications to ensure customer technical requirements are achieved with the most cost-effective solutions
- Responsible for the accuracy of quotations for customer solutions while meeting MV business margin expectations by validating costing on the solution including 3rd party content and customized options
- Meet financial targets for sales, growth and profitability
- Work with Engineering and Project Managers to help ensure smooth order hand off and execution
- Support customer visits, training schools, and conference calls to aid in pre-sales and post sales activities
- Support the regional teams with documentation on products, applications, processes, and aid in dissemination of that information to distributors, consultants, specialists, account managers involved in MV opportunities
- Understands and supports business processes and serves as a liaison between sales organization and the medium voltage business unit
- Communicates with the Product Management team to analyze competition, recommend new offerings, or suggest refinements for success
- Must be willing and able to travel to customer sites, and special events.
The Essentials Qualifications - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- Ability to travel for business, including internationally for up to 10% of time.
The Preferred Qualifications- You Will Have:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in industrial applications
- Demonstrated experience providing solutions in an ETO environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of Rockwell MV Products and Applications
- Effectively communicates and gives presentations (internal and external)
- Promote good relationships with internal and external customers
- Some Medium Voltage Power Systems Domain Knowledge
- Industrial applications related to Power and Motor Control
- University or College Degree in Electrical Technology or Engineering

For this role, the total target compensation is from $83,360.00 - $104,200.00 CAD Annual. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
