Pay Range

$24.85 - $37.30

Essential Functions

  • Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates therapy interventions to contribute to a developmentally appropriate plan of care.
  • Collaborates and communicates in a positive manner with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate attainment of identified patient, family and healthcare team goals of care.
  • Contributes to the effectiveness of the therapy program by promoting and ensuring the delivery of therapy services, maintaining and building own skills in profession of art/music
Physical Requirements
Work requires walking, sitting, standing, lifting, stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and carrying. Must be able to lift and support 20 pounds of weight, in handling patients, musical equipment and supplies. Essential technical, as well as, fine and gross motor skills required related to performing duties of music therapy as well as documentation

Education, Experience and Certifications

Associate's Degree in art, music or education-related field required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Music Therapist must obtain Music National Certification in Music Therapy required and Art Therapist a National Certification in Art Therapy is preferred. At least one year's work experience in the field of healthcare Art / Music Therapy, with at least one year's experience in a medical facility working with the neonatal and pediatric population, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Experience establishing an inpatient neonatal or pediatric art in healthcare/music therapy program preferred.
