Major Duties:
Qualifications: Applicants can substitute education for specialized experience by possessing education of four years above high school leading to a bachelor's degree with major study or 24 semester hours of course work in a related field. Specialized Experience Statement: Candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-04 level in the Federal service or private sector, providing customer service to museum patrons and providing administrative support such as assisting with data entry and responding to online correspondence. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
