The Multimedia Project Specialist I, under general supervision, creates and updates multimedia assets including graphics, video, and photo for online courses and publications.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other EDE teams to create high quality digital assets that support AgriLife’s mission.
Develops/designs complex graphics for publications (print and digital), courses, and videos.
Efficiently captures and edits large quantities of videos/photos, while meeting project deadlines and internal quality standards.
Maintains and monitors division multimedia/graphic libraries (ex. PhotoShelter).
Reviews graphics, videos, and photos prior to publication.
Follows accessibility, branding, and style guidelines.
Learns various emerging technologies to support multimedia development.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One year of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to create original artwork across the fields of design, video, and photography.
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years' experience in multimedia production (graphic design, photography, videography, etc.).
Excellent verbal and written English language skills required, including:
Writing (using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation)
Questioning (to elicit relevant information from subject matter experts)
Evaluating information (for correctness, coherence, audience appropriateness, etc.)
Synthesizing complex information for new audiences.
The ability to be an articulate, professional communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Adobe programs, such as: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, Lightroom, and Photoshop.
Experience with agricultural and/or life science fields of study.
Other Requirements:
Ability to commute to the Texas A&M campus in College Station, as this is not a remote position.
Ability to lift, transport, and set-up heavy equipment.
Drives and travels as needed to perform duties. Travel up to 25% required.
Work beyond normal office hours including evenings and work on weekends may be necessary.

Salary: Pay Grade 8. Compensation for this position is commensurate based on the selected candidate’s qualifications.
Flexible Work Arrangements: Flexible work schedule and partially remote work may be available for this position, pending employee eligibility requirements are met in accordance with AgriLife Alternate Work Location Procedures.
