A Glimpse of the Job
The Multimedia Project Coordinator, under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications in the College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts, is responsible for implementing strategy and overseeing the production of photography and videography needs to fulfill the mission of the college. This will be accomplished through visual storytelling, video journalism, digital filmmaking and photojournalism.
Opportunities to Contribute
Develop and Create Photos and Videos:
Works with the marketing and communications team to create, produce, film/photograph and edit digital media content.
This includes portraits of students and faculty; covering events, guest speakers, art exhibitions and performances; long-form interview videos and short-form clips for social media; updating website reels and photos with fresh content.
Digital Asset Management:
Leads the development of PhotoShelter to make digital assets accessible to the marketing and communications staff and to the overall college faculty and staff.
Continues the organization and archiving of those assets.
Social Media:
Works with marketing and communications team on visual storytelling specifically for social media.
Information Awareness:
Maintains awareness and knowledge of current photography and videography production trends and technological advances.
Maintain Photo Directory:
Takes faculty and staff photos for the college website.

Other Requirements and Factors:
Must be able to lift or move lightweight objects.
Some evening and weekend coverage for events and performances will be required.
May require occasional local travel.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of professional experience in a creative work environment producing photography and video projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five years of experience in video production and photography.
Proficient with 3 axis gimbals, manual and automatic sliders and external recording devices.
Experience in shooting photo/video at Texas A&M University.
Experience in shooting a wide variety of artistic disciplines, to include music, theatre, dance and the visual arts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment.
Work within tight time constraints — to include efficient editing for fast publication — and budget constraints.
Must be attentive to detail and meet college’s needs.
Proficiency with Macintosh systems and utilities.
Mastery of mirrorless and cinema cameras, image editing, cinema camera operations, shot composition, continuous and strobe lighting, post-production editing, color grading and audio editing.
Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects and Adobe Photoshop.
