Summary of Role:
Report directly to the Cleans (CLN) Equipment Manager responsible for owning specific toolsets and projects as assigned by the Manager
Essential Responsibilities:
- Participates in and/or leads teams of equipment suppliers, maintenance technicians, and cross-functional teams at FAB8 and across sites
- Shows mastery of a technical discipline and is recognized within the company as a senior member of a technical team.
- Initiative and creativity result in high degree of innovation while showing the capacity to solve major problems of an advanced complexity within his/her area of expertise.
- Support yield and Continuous Improvement activities related to the Cleans Equipment.
- Support assigned startup of new equipment as well as sustaining of existing tools.
- Participate in Equipment selection for Fab 8 as well as installation and qualification of new tools and process technologies.
- Drive cost saving initiatives through second sources, direct sources, parts life-time improvement, and pm optimizations.
- Provide leadership and specialized technical guidance to effectively identifying root causes to equipment issues. Responsible for driving resolutions and closures of issues.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
- Participate in and lead troubleshooting and taskforces as needed. Develop solutions that prevent recurrence.
- Continue to improve robust equipment CM & PM procedures, FDC, and methodologies for high volume manufacturing using statistical tools, DOE techniques, data driven decision making and systematic problem solving skills. Use lean manufacturing and six sigma processes.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Required Qualifications:
- BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering physical science discipline.
- 6+ years of Equipment Engineering experience on 300mm Cleans processing equipment with suppliers LAM, SCREEN, SEMES, or TEL
- Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
- Able to work in a cleanroom environment per semiconductor industry and GLOBALFOUNDRIES protocol requirements, wearing all required clean room protective clothing and equipment up to an 8H day and lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a periodic basis during tool maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in advanced technology (45nm or below) in 300mm factory.
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic, motivated, and self-driven.
- Demonstrate ability to work well within a global matrixed team or environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and experience in working with external constituencies.
- Strong planning and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
- Familiar with 5S, 8D, 6-sigma, SPC, DOE, FMEA. Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
- Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
Expected Salary Range
$98,000.00 - $176,000.00
