Main Accountabilities:
Lead and supervise MST operations team in executing daily terminal activities including tanker loading, vessel unloading, tank farm operations, and monitoring of operational parameters to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
Serve as Alternate Loading Master during vessel unloading operations at Johor Port jetty and coordinate ship-to-shore transfer activities in compliance with port regulations and safety requirements.
Act as On-Scene Commander during emergency situations and assume Incident Controller responsibilities in the absence of the MST Operations Manager to ensure effective emergency response coordination and site control.
Lead troubleshooting and resolution of operational and process deviations involving tanker loading systems, tank farm operations, and DCS monitoring to maintain operational stability and reliability.
Act as Permit Issuer for MST, administer Permit to Work and LOTO systems, and conduct process confirmation to ensure all operational and maintenance activities are executed in full compliance with SOP, risk controls, and SHEMS requirements.
Plan and coordinate manpower arrangement for operations and maintenance support activities to ensure optimal resource utilization and safe execution of work activities.
Control and monitor technician overtime to ensure compliance with labour law requirements, and lead initiatives to optimize and reduce overtime cost without compromising operational readiness.
Review and verify technician overtime records for accuracy and compliance prior approval by MST Operations Manager.
Supervise terminal technician workforce planning including shift scheduling, competency development, training coordination, and process confirmation to ensure operational discipline and SHEMS compliance.
Participate in operational problem solving and improvement reviews including Management of Change (MoC) and Permit to Work (PTW) effectiveness reviews.
Support development, review, and revision of operational procedures, SOPs, and work instructions.
Participate in SHEMS audits as auditee, take ownership of operation-related findings, and support MST Operations Manager in tracking and closing audit and compliance actions.
Coordinate daily lifting plans with Supply Planning, act as alternate liaison with Johor Port and third-party terminals, and support operational coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee product movement verification and support SAP inventory reconciliation and month-end stock verification
Facilitate operations meetings, action tracking, and ensure closure of operational follow-ups and administrative requirements.

High level of operational discipline and competency within the operations team through structured supervision, competency development, and consistent adherence to approved operating procedures.
Effective site emergency response capability through timely leadership as On-Scene Commander and assumption of Incident Controller responsibilities when required, ensuring controlled incident management and escalation.
Continuous improvement of terminal operational performance through proactive identification of deviations, support of corrective action closure, and contribution to operational efficiency and safety improvements.
