What you will do:
We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in managing and supporting MS SQL Database including Failover Cluster, Always ON Setup and new server provisioning, Transaction replication, Link Servers,
Hardening, patching in day-to-day operations. Experience on team management
What you will bring:
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor generated log and event files indicating errors that may result in incidents
Perform DR database availability monitoring
Monitor database log replication
Report the status of log replications as per agreed schedules
Conduct session/query/log/latch monitoring
Monitor the database for failures and logged system events that indicate imminent failure
Purge database logs and trace files
Perform periodic configuration reviews to maintain consistent configurations
Review and provide recommendations to maintain database availability
Prepare monthly reports on database availability
Reconfigure log shipping as required
Configure transaction replication
Configure linked servers
Manage failover clustering
Configure and maintain Always ON availability groups
Respond to database-related incidents and drive corrective actions
Tune database parameters for performance optimization
Correlate related incidents into problem tickets and manage through the problem management process
Use trend analysis to identify, categorize, prioritize, and create Problem Management Records
Restore databases as needed
Support the SQL Database L2 team in handling critical issues
Handle database performance-related issues
Manage end-to-end major incidents and communicate with customers on production issues
Create jobs/job schedules for routine or maintenance tasks and rebuild indexes
Purge database logs and trace files and manage performance
Perform database defragmentation and performance tuning
Manage all service requests through the change management process
Automate administrative tasks where possible
Manage and update all database environment documentation
Ensure SQL patch and hardening compliance
Ensure database server availability for business applications
Team management experience (Must)
Handling major incidents and preparing RCA reports
Database installation and troubleshooting (Must)
Always ON cluster configuration and management (Must)
Failover cluster management (Must)
Patching in Failover Cluster and Always ON environments (Must)
Replication and linked server configuration (Must)

Job scheduling and maintenance planning
Prepare POA and rollback plans for database migration (Must)
Plan and execute new database-related projects
Troubleshoot database performance issues
