Job Description:
MRI Technologist - PRN
Call Rotation Required
Operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)/computed tomography (CT) equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images of patients for medical interpretation.
Job Duties:
- Operate CT and MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images of the body according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Perform basic image processing techniques such as windowing, reconstruction, and multiplanar reformatting to enhance visualization of anatomical structures and abnormalities.
- Assist radiologists and physicians in image interpretation.
- Position patients appropriately on the table and provide instructions for maintaining stillness during the examination to minimize motion artifacts.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- ARRT registry in Radiography (R) required
- Must obtain ARRT registry in CT and/or MRI within one year of hire date
- Military training graduate of JRCERT-accredited program required can substitute for ARRT registration requirement
- Current license with Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy is required
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience working as a CT and/or MRI Technologist in a hospital or medical imaging facility preferred
