Key Responsibilities:
The purpose of the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer position is to obtain routine data at the community level in order to develop and implement a community‑based monitoring and evaluation system.
About The CORE Group Partners Project (CGPP) ;
Wahana Visi will be impelementing The CORE Group Partnership Project (CGPP). The CORE Group Partnership Project (CGPP) is a multi-country, multi-partner initiative providing financial support, on-the-ground technical assistance and guidance to strengthen host country efforts to eradicate polio and strengthen immunization systems. The premise of this project is to work through existing networks of international and local NGOs with established child survival activities in hard-to-reach areas with inadequate immunization coverage. The project work supports the national action plan for polio eradication
WVI as implementing partner contribute to polio eradication by increasing population immunity and enhancing surveillance for AFP and other VPDs in hard-to-reach, remote, and cross‑border areas in Indonesia. While funded through MCH resources, the project’s primary focus is polio eradication and immunization system strengthening, with co-benefits for maternal, newborn, and child health and broader outbreak preparedness.
This project is subject to donor funding acquisition process. In the event that the funding agreement is not finalized, the recruitment process may be postponed, or the position may not proceed. We are committed to maintaining transparent communication with all candidates throughout this process
Strategy Development & Planning
Support the Program team in developing the community’s vision for transformative, child‑focused development and its planning.
Support the MEAL and Data Spec in facilitating the process of preparing community‑based development program plans in accordance with the grant program design.
Resource Acquisition & Management
Use available resources efficiently and effectively
Capacity Building/ Technical Works
Support the Meal and Data Management Spec in facilitating capacity‑building for operating model partners, cadres, and communities in program monitoring and evaluation.
Provide technical assistance to operating model partners, cadres, and communities in strengthening community‑based monitoring.
Share experiences (successes and challenges) in strengthening project monitoring through regular coordination meetings, joint trainings, seminars, and other activities.
Accountability & Quality Assurance
Coordinate with the MEL Spec and other Coordinators, particularly in the assigned area, for the implementation of program monitoring and evaluation.
Document project materials, including reports and field learnings, that can be used to improve future planning.
Conduct regular monitoring and provide support for project monitoring through field accompaniment.
Facilitate Participatory Learning with communities to strengthen ownership of the program.
Report community‑generated monitoring data from the villages to the Meal Spec and Project team leader in an accountable and valid manner.
Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Network & Coordination
Build partnerships with various organizations and institutions at the village level based on shared goals to improve the well‑being of children and families, especially the most vulnerable.
Provide accurate information about the organization’s identity.
Enhance understanding of the political context in the program area to respond appropriately as a representative of the organization.
Managemement & Leadership
Submits periodical/ monthly accomplishment report
Build and maintain positive spirit of working in team with other staff in respective unit and department
Provide Christian leadership and support to enrich the organization's life, faith, Christian commitments and ministry to the disadvantaged children and communities we seek to serve.
Be a role model and inspiration in managing work, communication and relationship with internal staff and external parties.
Manage all risks related to project according to organization policies, guidelines, and standard. This includes risks in fraud, safeguarding, and other related risks.
Requirement
Bachelor’s or diploma degree in Statistics, Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Information Systems, Data Science, or other relevant fields.
Minimum of 3 years of work experience, or at least 1 year as a development facilitator.
Strong skills in facilitation and building interpersonal relationships.
Good understanding of community development and mobilization concepts.
Strong critical and analytical thinking skills
Bahasa Indonesia (native) English (passive)
Willing to get placement as local based in Papua (Jayapura/Mimika/Nabire).
Travel 25% (domestically and internationally)
