Job Description

Monitor Technicians observes cardiac monitors for rate, rhythm and dysrhythmias.

Responsibilities

 Admits and discharges patients from the monitoring system., Changes alarms and limits as directed for individual patient monitoring, under the direction of a Registered Nurse., Interprets strips of monitor rhythm and posts them on proper chart form., Notifies appropriate personnel of alarm situations and changes in rhythm., Orders supplies and maintenance/repairs needed for optimal service., Serves as a customer service representative and receptionist as needed., Supports relationship-based care.
