Mold Technician II (Package R&D)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mold Technician with hands-on experience in molding processes. The candidate will support daily molding operations, assist in process setup and troubleshooting, and ensure stable production with consistent quality. This role involves equipment setup, process monitoring, basic data recording, and close collaboration with engineers and production teams to maintain efficient and reliable manufacturing operations.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct Design of Experiments (DoE) and engineering trials under the guidance of Process Engineers.

  • Assist in molding setup and operate specialized equipment for new process development.

  • Maintain accurate logs of DoE parameters, experimental setups, and results.

  • Monitor process performance and provide feedback to optimize yield, quality, and efficiency.

  • Record all process parameters and qualitative observations during trial runs.

  • Perform routine inspections and basic troubleshooting of R&D equipment to reduce downtime.

  • Support the engineering team in analyzing data to identify trends, recurring issues, or improvement opportunities.

  • Ensure all technical documentation is up-to-date and accessible for audits.

  • Follow safety protocols (PPE, LOTO, etc.) and comply with company and industry standards.

What You Will Need:

  • Diploma or equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Materials Science, or related technical discipline).

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in molding processes, preferably in semiconductor or related industries.

  • Strong understanding of molding operations, process optimization, and quality control.

  • Hands-on experience with molding equipment and DoE methodologies.

  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
