Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries is looking for a strong technical leader to join our world-class 200mm Manufacturing Engineering Development team in a FEOL etch module manager position.  Module Engineering Managers at GlobalFoundries are responsible for leading teams to own the fabs balanced scorecard metrics (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Value, Team) for the manufacturing toolset in support of 200mm manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience with managing teams in a manufacturing environment and executing strategies to meet factory targets.  Possessing a project management skillset to implement these strategies, is essential.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Tactically engage all modules to ensure business needs and objectives are executed, while ensuring clear and crisp communication to executive management
  • Develop and manage projects to enable Fab 9 balanced scorecard strategy deployment goals
  • Develop module accountability structure to ensure business commitments are met and/or exceeded and standard work is performed
  • Maintain availability outside of standard 5/2 schedule on an ad hoc basis based upon business needs

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
  • Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – BS Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or equivalent discipline.  
  • Experience - Minimum 10 Years in field.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Skills – Thorough knowledge of semiconductor processing with integration and etch concentration.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a tightly coupled team are a must
  • Travel - Minimal
  • Fluency in English Language – both written & verbal
  • Physical Capacity Demands – No lifting / standing / or other physical capacity demands.  Position requires ability to function within a clean room environment
  • Ability to work across organizations to enable improved processes and teamwork including Technology Development, Characterization, Quality, ISC, and Procurement
  • Ability to lead an engineering team to complete complex deliverable and make appropriate engineering-based decisions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous semiconductor engineering management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, energetic and self-starter
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and experience in working with external constituencies
  • Strong organizational skills along with demonstrated ability to manage across shifts
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business need
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
  • Individuals will be and must be able to understand complex automated systems and human interactions
  • Other responsibilities as directed by management

Expected Salary Range

$118,000.00 - $210,000.00
