Model Markets Analyst, AVP - State Street Investment Management

The AVP – Model Markets Analyst will support the growth and evolution of State Street Investment Management’s Model Portfolio and Multi Asset Solutions business by delivering data‑driven insights, market intelligence, and analytical support across model strategists, clients, distribution, product development, and investment teams.

This role sits at the intersection of markets, technology, analytics, and product strategy, helping inform new model development, platform decisions, and client‑specific opportunities.

The role is designed to enhance analytical depth across the model business, and improve efficiency through cross‑functional collaboration and the integration of advanced analytics and AI into reporting and decision‑making processes.

This role will report to the Global Head of Multi Asset Solutions and ETF model portfolios

Key Responsibilities

Market & Client Analytics

  • Partner with Markets Intelligence, Distribution, and internal stakeholders to develop data‑driven insights on client behavior, usage trends, and model portfolio adoption across platforms.
  • Support performance attribution, usage trends, and client engagement metrics to help refine commercial and investment strategy.
  • Leverage technology to help streamline process driven workflows
  • Partner with Model Strategist to provide analytical support for bespoke client requests, including portfolio analytics, model comparisons, scenario analysis, and exposure analysis.

Product & Platform Support

  • Evaluate external technology and data providers to assess fit, scalability, and impact on the model portfolio business.
  • Support new product development by leveraging market data and client insights to inform new model ideas, enhancements, and positioning.
  • Assist with maintaining and improving analytical infrastructure supporting model portfolios and custom model solutions.

Innovation & Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI and advanced analytics into model portfolio reporting, analytics, and operational workflows.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to streamline analytical processes and reduce operational friction across the model business.

Core Skills

  • Strong analytical skill set with the ability to interpret and synthesize market, portfolio, and client data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated interest or background in technology, data analytics, or quantitative analysis within asset management or wealth management.
  • Innovative mindset with a desire to learn and evolve alongside a growing model portfolio platform.

Professional Attributes

  • Strong work ethic and ownership mentality; comfortable operating in a fast‑growing and evolving business.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across investment, distribution, marketing, and technology teams.
  • Clear communicator, able to translate complex analytics into practical insights for internal stakeholders.

Education / Experience

  • Background in finance, data science, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in asset management, wealth management, or investment analytics preferred
  • Progress toward CFA or other relevant certifications is a plus

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $157,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
